Your base nutrients will include all of the macronutrients your plants require to thrive and some of them are all-in-ones that include all of the micronutrients as well.
If you end up choosing a base nutrient that does not include all of the micronutrients (the product description will tell you) click here to see all of our nutrient supplements. We recommend utilizing the same brands when possible.
Macronutrients are Nitrogen, Phosphorous, and Potassium. These are the 3 numbers you commonly see on nutrient bottles that look like this; 4-4-4, 6-4-2, 2-5-9, etc. They are commonly referred to as NPK values.
It's common for vegetative stage base nutrients to have a higher first number (nitrogen) as the plants require that the most in veg. In bloom, the middle and last numbers will be higher (phosphorous and potassium).
Micronutrients are things like calcium, iron, magnesium, copper, boron, etc. which are also necessary for plants to thrive and are often included in base nutrients but sometimes are seperate.
