Aphidius colemani – Parasitic Wasp for Aphid Control

Overview

Aphidius colemani is a tiny parasitic wasp with a big role: controlling aphid outbreaks in greenhouses and outdoor gardens. This beneficial insect tracks down aphid colonies and deposits eggs directly into soft-bodied aphid nymphs. As the larvae grow, they consume the host from within, turning it into a swollen, leathery “mummy.” When mature, the new wasp emerges and starts the cycle again.

A. colemani is a reliable, chemical-free solution ideal for both preventative use and active infestations.

Application Instructions

✅ Preventative Use

Gently open the container in the morning or late afternoon.
Walk through your grow space, holding the vial at a 45° angle.
Tap lightly to disperse emerged adults over your crop.
Recap and store the vial upright at ambient temperature.
Repeat daily for 2–4 days to ensure full emergence.

🔄 Corrective Use (Infestation Present)

Open the vial near the affected plant canopy.
Leave the vial upright or tied in the plant foliage.
Allow the remaining wasps to emerge over the next 3–4 days.
Do not dump the contents out—keep humidity stable for proper emergence.

📦 Blister Pack Instructions (if applicable)

Hang individual blisters directly in the plant canopy.
Space evenly for prevention, or cluster near infestations.
Blisters release wasps gradually for extended control.
