The Perfect Temperature and Humidity For Indoor Cannabis Plants For Each Stage Of Life - Happy Hydro

The perfect temperature and humidity for indoor cannabis plants in each stage of life

Cannabis plants are very particular about their temperature and humidity needs, especially when grown indoors. In this article, we'll discuss the perfect conditions for each stage of life for your indoor cannabis plants.

During the germination stage, your cannabis seeds will need a warm and humid environment to sprout. The ideal temperature for this stage is between 21-26°C (70-80°F), with humidity levels around 80%. You can maintain these conditions by using a heat mat and placing your seedlings in a tray of water.

Once your plants have sprouted, they'll enter the vegetative stage. During this time, they'll grow leaves and roots, so they'll need slightly different conditions than during germination. The ideal temperature for the vegetative stage is 18-24°C (64-75°F), with humidity levels between 50-70%. You can create these conditions by using a fan to circulate air and keeping an eye on the humidity levels in your grow room.

Finally, your plants will enter the flowering stage. This is when they'll produce buds, so it's important to create the perfect environment for them during this time. The ideal temperature for flowering is 21-26°C (70-80°F), with humidity levels between 40-50%. You can maintain these conditions by using a dehumidifier and keeping an eye on the temperature in your grow room.

But before you go breaking the bank on gathering a heater, air conditioner, humidifier, and dehumidifier, it's important to monitor temps for a week or two and know what pieces you may need first. If you're only a few degrees out of range, you might be able to just use a ventilation system with a controller to exhaust that air and then see what the new ranges are at, to determine if buying other equipment is necessary.

These ventilation kits will allow you to set min/max temperature and low/high humidity thresholds and can exhaust the air inside the space, outside. If the air that will be passively or actively brought into the grow space is within the range you're aiming for, just having a ventilation package could potentially be everything you need to dial this in.

By following these guidelines, you can ensure that your indoor cannabis plants have the perfect temperature and humidity for each stage of life!
